  • Open windows explorer / file explorer in your laptop.
  • In the address bar of windows explorer type exact letters of Server URL and hit the Enter.
  • Now, you should be able to see all of the files / folders which are present in your mobile. And you can do copy your files from laptop to mobile or vice-versa.
  • After transfer of files press on Stop.

Note: In your windows explorer you are seeing some files and folders very first time (files of your mobile). Those files and folders are hidden files of android system or you made it hidden previously.

How to Transfer Files From PC to Mobile With MI File Manager / File Explorer?

If you own a Mi mobile then you have built in file manager of Mi. In case you own a mobile from another company and your file manager have not function to transfer a file using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) service then you can install MI File Explorer from here.

  • Connect your laptop and mobile in the same wi-fi.
  • Open MI File Manager and touch on three horizontal lines (Menu) in the top-left corner of the screen.
  • Select FTP.
  • Press Start button placed in the middle of the screen.
  • You may see screen to choose connection type. Here you can choose Portable/Open connection or Password Protected connection.
  • After selecting a connection type press OK.
  • Note down the ftp address placed in the middle of the screen. The address will be like ftp://192.168.0.103:40322 (If you copy text from here then you might be need to make some change, because text in your mobile could be different than here).
  • Open windows explorer / file explorer in your laptop.
  • In the address bar of windows explorer type exact letters of ftp address and hit the Enter.

Now, you should be able to see all of the files / folders which are present in your mobile. And you can do copy your files from laptop to mobile or vice-versa.

How to Transfer a File From Laptop to Mobile With ShareMe?
